By the tranquil banks of the Ganga Barrage, our team encountered a heartbreaking sight. A frail, emaciated dog lay curled up near the water’s edge, too weak to move. Her fur was almost entirely gone due to a severe skin infection, and her ribs jutted out from malnutrition. She barely had the strength to lift her head when we approached. We named her Ganga, after the river, hoping to give her the strength to fight and heal.

Transporting Ganga to the shelter was challenging, as she needed immediate medical attention. we stayed by her side, gently comforting her during the ride. At the shelter, Ganga received treatment for her skin condition and was put on a high-protein diet to regain her strength.

Her recovery was a slow process, but her resilience was inspiring. Over the months, her fur grew back, her eyes regained their sparkle, and her once fragile body became stronger. Ganga’s transformation was nothing short of miraculous. Today, she is one of our shelter’s permanent residents and a favorite among volunteers for her calm and loving demeanor. Ganga’s story is a testament to how love and care can bring even the most broken souls back to life.

Together, we can make a difference. Your support, no matter how small, can create a brighter future for countless lives.
